Keyboard letters too narrow

I recently moved to Note 10+ from iPhone 8 Plus and my biggest issue has been keyboard.
I have tried several, but all have the same problem, keys are JUST TOO NARROW. With iPhone I was able to type without issues, with Note 10+ I am having typos in almost every word.
I have tried to make keyboard bigger, but it only makes keys LONGER not wider, and problems remain.
There are 12 letters from left to right in upper keyboard row: QWERTYUIOPÜÖ. I need a keyboard with 10 letters per row max and 4 rows instead of 3, but havent found it.

Please advise, what should I do, I love lot of things about Note, but this is killing me and contemplating moving back to Apple.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried gesture/swipe typing? That can be pretty accurate, and fast as well, once you get the hang of it.

Like often, when I write something up with exact problem description instead of mulling it in my mind over and over, I found the solution, under "languages and types" I needed to move from Estonian Qwerty to Qwerty Keyboard. Still seems a little small keyboard, but lot better than before.

I have always wondered that about my keyboard being too small, and I always type in the wrong letter. I have a older generation iPod Touch, and you know that one has a small screen but everytime I type in it I always get it right. That is one thing that Apple did correctly, the keyboard. That little thing will never make me move to Apple. Love my Android, and I have been here since the beginning.

You can do adjustments for size , you can put in landscape mode ,it has a floating keyboard , also try Google Gboard ,swiftkey etc.

Maybe to try a different keyboard ?

Try Touch Pal Pro. I've been using it for years and I love it. Customize on! I prefer swiping to tapping myself.

I have run into the same thing. I could type paragraphs on my 6 Plus and rarely make a mistake, if I did it got corrected. Even my sons iPhone XR I can type on without issue. With the Note 10 I botch words constantly. I've been using SwiftKey, but it's predictions are downright terrible. If I type 'only', swiftkey will sometimes change it to 'inky'. 'The' gets changed a lot to 'thr' or 'tge'. I cleared all predictions/data and started over and it was descent, but then it goes back to its old ways. I've had Android before, but the keyboard/prediction are not very good and I think it has to do with key spacing as well. I gave GBoard a shot for a couple weeks, but I was not a fan of that. Swiftkey is the best I've used on Android, but it's still not all that great.

A lot of people have said iPhone keyboard is the worst thing about the iPhone, I disagree. The keyboard and Apple Watch could pull me back to iPhone next year when I upgrade.

Every man to his own poison. I dislike SwiftKey and find the predictions horrid. It doesn't store my contacts and local names. Unlike Gboard. I've never liked typing and have always swiped. Maybe in the interim you should use the landscape mode until you upgrade.

SwiftKey is my go to keyboard on android. Liked it better when the app was not as bloated as today with themes and such, but it's still a fluent typing // swiping experience. And @ScalpIdeas is pretty customizable in sizes and also the layout can be tweaked a little.
Its good keyboard
