"keyboard/shortcut" codes?

Hey. I have the HTC Incredible. I moved from Blackberry. I'm tech savvy and there wasn't a learning curve for the HTC.

My question here is:

Are there any code/shortcuts that can be entered to change or display information.

One I am looking for especially is for the signal bars to display the signal dbm instead of the bars.

On blackberry there was a keycode that would change this. And I do mean change. to toggle. I know I can look in the settings>about>network and look at the information but that's not what I'm talking about.

afaik, there is no way to do that.

Once they root the Incredible you will be able to change anything on the notification bar but until then sorry no way to.

Seems over the last few days as people have settled into their news phones, everything people want to do with the phone comes back to rooting the phone. Maybe they should start doing like computers and giving us root access from the beginning and ship us some desktop "recovery" software along with an O/S disk with our default Android on it. Humm VZW something to think about.
