keyboard stuck on lock screen

I can't, even in safe mode but it's letting me swipe to take security photo???

2 ways to solve this annoying issue:
1) First option, You can just say "Ok Google, open messages" to which google will respond... "actually I can not do that when you phone is locked, if you want to continue, please go ahead and unlock you phone. ." The keyboard will then disappear and you will be able to draw your pattern. ..

2) Second option, my preferred one, just click on the second button located at the bottom left side of the keyboard, and you will have the option of selectionning a half size keyboard that you will be able to move around to clear the pattern access...Problem resolved! Eureka! !

Yea, for me I found it happened with the last auto update of the clean master app. Like you , I had no idea where it came from until yesterday, everything I opened a game app a banner popped up asking me for permission to turn on or off iswipe with that particular app so I dug deeper to find it to shut it off, then I realized it also cured the frozen keyboard in the lock screen. Phew!

Totally works, thanks a million. I will report on the clean sweep app page and maybe they'll fix it... The iSwipe was a handy app drawer but I can live without it.

I've just started having the same problem when my phone was in messenger with keyboard on screen and phone timed out. Wasn't able to see passed the keyboard once I activated my screen on again. I discovered that with an app called clean sweep there is and internal function called iswipe. Once I disabled this function by going into settings in the clean sweep app, everything is now functioning normally again !!

Turning off iswipe does help! I just did it and the keyboard doesn't show up on the lock screen anymore

Great solution, it works for my S5 mini. Was a very annoying problem, required to reboot of phone to the smartphone to let the keyboard disappear. Thanks.

Hey there! I had the same problem with my S5 Neo...for me it was ES Swipe (EStrong File Explorer's verson of CM's iSwipe) causing the problem. Once i disabled it the problem went away. It seems as though ANY "swipe menu" will cause the keyboard to stick. Swipe from either bottom corner (most apps' default activation area) to open the offending menu. Once in, find the settings and disable the menu. This should be a generic fix for anyone with a swipe menu they didn't realize was active (like me lol).

I hit the settings button on keyboard then it locked again swiped and it came back around...it seemed to be locking on text screens for facebook and on phone texts..havent had issue again so far..maybe lucky?

Having an annoying problem where when I'm doing something using the keyboard and put the phone down.
I go to open the phone to the lock screen and the keyboard remains blocking my pattern to open the phone.
The only way I can open my phone is to (double click) open the camera.

I found that ES File Explorer application was the culprit. After i uninstalled this app the keyboard stopped showing on the lock screen.

I had an app installed called color photo gallery this seemed to be the problem for me. I swipe was disabled so went through my apps one at a time and this was the culprit. Hope this helps somebosy!

I used an app called "App Usage" by Sam Lu to determine that the swipe setting causing the keyboard/lock-screen issue for me was caused by the app "Cooler Master" and its 'Lazy Swipe' setting. Hope that is of some help to others.
