keyboard suggestions missing?

After doing the ZVH update/root (manual install found in a thread here) and installing Clockwork recovery, my phone doesn't pull up suggestions or fix typing errors anymore. It's like the update lost all words except for the custom words I've saved. What can I do to fix this?

this is a known VH issue, download gingerbread keyboard from marker and set it as your default, or you could flash a custom ROM
