Keyboard wont save words i want to put in for Galaxy S4 Mini

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me. When i am typing a message my phone will not save words that are not in its dictionary. For example if i want to use abbreviations of words or curse words or just funny little words i make up myself. I have to hold down the keys and spell out the word each time. Does the phone just not save words? I find this very odd and annoying. Any help would be appreciated

Hi Neil, what keyboard are you using on your device? I had the same issue with the stock Samsung keyboard and decided to change it for a better solution like SwiftKey (which is the one I use and recomend) or Kii Keyboard.

Hi Erasmo thank you for the reply. Im using the Samsung keyboard that came with the phone. Its very annoying. So will those other keyboards you suggested automatically save any word I type in? Thanks

Yes they will, an type accuracy is much better also.
