I just want to hear from you guys about what keyboards you guys like to use for texting and what not on the Evo 3d.

i am spastic when trying to swype and i have fat fingers so i prefer the KB with arrows to fix my errors that auto correct doesn't match right.
I having been switching between Smart Keyobard Pro and SwiftKeyX, trying to figure out which I like better....right now I seem to be leaning towards SwiftKeyX....Thumb Keyboard also seem to be a pretty good, responsive keyobard
I've tried a lot of them. I always find myself going back to the HTC standard keyboard with its trace capabilities turned on. It's like having the best of both worlds.

I have tried several, including SlideIT when it was ten cents. I always go back to SwiftKey. It's eerie how it predicts what I want to type. I am slow as molasses when it comes to texting!

After constantly switching between 3 phones (Optimus 3D, Evo 3D and Galaxy S II) I gave up on the different keyboards with their own behaviors. I just install SwiftKey X on all of them. That way new devices I don't have to re-learn everything.
Plus I like having arrow keys.

i kept switching between original, swype, ultimate, couple others. stumbled onto go keyboard and haven't gone back. great skins, multi-language very smart too.
I'm probably using Swype 90% of the time on my EVO 3D. I started using it on my EVO 4G and just stuck with it. I do occasionally switch back to the stock HTC keyboard when I need to type in forms because I have the "autocorrect" feature disabled.

I always used better keyboard (with hello kitty skin B-) ) but I don't think it's even available in the market anymore but ever since I tried Swype beta it seems it has become my new default keyboard except there are a few options I really miss when using it like the arrow keys and better keyboard has alot of symbols to choose from. I really do love better keyboard but it's way too ez to text with Swype beta now.
Thumb Keyboard is my favorite on the evo 3d. It's the most customizable and the keys are a little bigger than swiftkey so I don't make nearly as many errors
I have been using the standard keyboard, but i have wanted something different for a while. So i have been playing round with swype and SwiftKey. I like both. Swype is a little slower of a typing method than what I like. So I think I'm leaning towards SwiftKey.

Touch Input seems to works best on my Evo 3d. I've tried others on the market - even the recent ICS keyboard. The problem I get with any other keyboards are _ they work great in the messaging and email applications, but on some forums they seem to start moving "sluggish" when typing fast. The stock keyboard undoubtedly works the best for me.
I switch around but I'm a big fan of touchpal. It is a nice swype alternative, and while it's not perfect it does work pretty well for me.
Swype about 80%, Swiftkey about 20%. I think swype is the most natural way to text on a touch screen device and especially one-handed. It has it's issues with speed/accuracy tradeoff and autocorrection in fields though, hoping the new version fixes them. In fact, I'm getting sick of Swype now and will change to Swiftkey right now.
