Keyboards

Alright. Just curious am I the only one who experienced that? Very weird and the worst thing is I cant pinpoint the problem.

When it crashes or says it stopped working that usually not a settings issue or clearing cache that's a app issue probably needs to be updated especially you uninstalled and installed it.

I'm running it on mine - have version 8.1.7.241875604... from settings>language and input>onscreen keyboard, "Gboard" you have to select "Rate Us" then "Go to Play Store" to see the Version unfortunately. It works fine for me - last update shows as April 4th 2019!

Same as mine

Ok this is going to sound weird but it took me about 6 months to figure it out.

I came from 10 years of owning Apple phones and when I got the Note 9 I figured it was like any other on screen keyboard and I was 100% mistaken.

The trick is to treat the keyboard like a 'kinda' blackberry. Press the keys like you are on a physical keyboard. Give each press with a little umph and get the tactile feedback.

You will feel like you are slowing down but you eventually speed up and the keyboard feel is far more satisfying. It actually feels like a physical keyboard when you press the movements. I also use the Gboard for the natural spacing.

Hope that helps!

I cannot enter a reply on this forum w swiftkey. I switch to the Samsung keyboard and I'm now entering this reply.🤐

I tend to use gboard and it works fairly well for the most part. I find the Samsung keyboard is way too quick to learn spelling mistakes and it becomes a bit mental with time.

SwiftKey I can't fault too much though I found using swipe would bring up some mental results. Gboard has been the most consistent.
