Keypad not appearing while searching the maps.

Car Model : 2016 Honda CIVIC EX
Phone : Samsung Note 3 recently upgraded to Android 5

Navigation works great. But when I start to search the maps or try to key in the address, Keypad not appearing.
The only way to input the address is the recent places from the history :-(
Any idea?

Are you trying to use the keyboard while in motion? It's only available while parked. But really the best way to search or navigate is by voice command.

When keying in the address into the Android google map , I could not locate the backslash key '/'. In my country, a lot of addresses have the backslash symbol and it will be difficult to use the voice command to describe the backslash symbol. Each time my car is in park prior to keying in the address. Pls help!
