Kickstand

L-O-V-E the kickstand case...never thought about it...Then got my Rezound bundle...The case not only had the kickstand, but also was designed to house the over sized battery.. Not to mention the case itself is strong and seems to protect the most of the glass edges on the phone. Great gripper texture also. Was a deal for around $20

i have the shell/holster combo for the extended battery and it's pretty nice. if you have employee discount with verizon, it's cheaper and has free shipping.

Bought mine on ebay for $18 I believe. I like it. Just look up HTC Rezound Extended Case and you'll find it. I prob wont use the front case for it, just the rear that goes on the back for the kickstand. If you are using a regular battery I'd look elsewhere, because this is for the extended back. I believe they do make them for the regular battery and back as well.

I have the case / holster combo for the regular battery and love it. It still allows the phone to feel comfortable in the hand, but it sits up nicely in either position on my desk during the day.

If it makes any difference to anyone, even though this case fits the wireless charging cover nicely, the wireless charging will not work with the case installed....big disappointment to me, as it is a nice case.

I use my work BB curve for a kickstand. The nice rubber on it keeps the Rezound from sliding off. This, btw, is the only the the BB curve is good for.

i miss my curve.. I miss blackberry.. I love playing GTA3 on my Rezound though :-)

I too have the kickstand case. It's not bad, i do wish it protected the top and bottom of the phone though.
I dont trust the holster yet, seems kind of weak. But no way can i go without a kick stand now hehe.

I have had this case on my phone ans I love the kickstand. The case feels good in the hand. If you need or miss the kickstand, this is the case for you. I actually orders this case from this site. I do ethno there is an extended case too. VZW tried sell me it when I got my Rezound. It was just to thick for my hands. So I have the thinner case an extra battery.

Well i now have no confidence in my slide in holster with this phone.
i worked a 14 hour shift the other night.. in a carpeted building, after i clocked out and on my way to my truck, the phone fell out of the holster, and hit the asphalt:( 3 nice dings on the phone where the case doesnt cover.

my first drop of an android phone for a long time.. i'll be saying goodbye to the current case as soon as i can find something better..i'll miss the kick stand though for sure.

cheers

Did you use the holster in vertical mode or horizontal?

They have it at htcpedia. Extended battery kickstand case and holster .It can take a standed battery.:)

As a current user of the shell/holster combo, I would really love to hear any more details on how the fall happened. Did it fall out of the holster, or were you holding the phone and a local gravity surge came along (also know as my fumbling fingers).:D

The unprotected top and bottom worry me as well, but I like the case for the other reasons mentioned.
AND it is one of exactly two models that work with my even more beloved extended battery.

I had a fall too with the holster/case combo, but I attribute my fall to user error (it was in the horizontal position). I think it is much more secure vertically so that you have to slide the phone upward to remove it from the holster.

But I really like the holster and kickstand. It's great for eating lunch and surfing. This is my first Android phone (coming from an iphone 3g) and it's been a great experience so far. The Rezound just seems like such a solid all around performer. To get two phones (one for my wife) for two pennies from Amazon was a great deal. Plus, with switching to Verizon instead of ATT I can actually get and make calls from my office and house. What a concept! ;)

I agree that vertical is much more secure. Horizontal can be dislodged easier, especially over time as the hold gets a little looser. Vertical mount still requires care, when putting it in or removing it from the holster, if you do it too fast, it can slip, or when you are putting it in, you can miss. The other thing is to make sure that the holster is secured to your belt or pant. Tug on it after installing the holster. I once had it clipped to my pant, but not very secute, and the holster and phone got loose. I think clipping it to a solid belt is best.

Amen on the clip check. The clip has a little hook at the end that will stay on a belt, but not really do much on jeans.

As to getting the phone into the holster, I have found that I often use a two handed motion sort of like putting a samurai sword into its sheath. Holster on left side, left hand cupped around top of holster, right hand reaching across with the phone. Obviously that is not always how I do it, but I stated doing it sub-consciously until someone commented to me after seeing me do it. No, I do not own any katanas.:)

Pants in general can be problematic to get a good grip. I prefer to put it on the belt. When removing the phone from the holster, i give it a nudge and then put my index finger into the camera hole and thumb on the front screen to pull it out. Putting it back in, I use two hands too, one hand near the bottom of the holster, the other to slide the phone in. The hand at the bottom is like extra protection in case it slips. I don't have insurance, so I try to be extra careful.
