Coming to the Droid boat from a Blackberry...
When Kik was first released it seemed like the best thing since sms for the smartphone, however as soon as I realized that it was adding people to my list and sending my information out without my knowledge or approval I uninstalled immediately. My thoughts were this -- would you want your boss automatically added to your Kik? And then you delete them... "Why did you delete me?" ect ect... I am very protective of my mobile information, lol.
Anywho, that was whenever it came out, November or something. I am trying to find an alternative IM solution to use with the people that I BBM frequently. Does anyone know if they have since ceased the above practice?
I searched here and did a quick through on their web site but could not find anything that seemed to concretely answer my question. Basically I don't want myself to be automatically added to someone else's Kik, or vice versa, I want to have complete control over where and how my information is used.
Thanks in advance!
