Anyone else excited for them? I don't care about hacking my devices to run "real" Android. If I wanted an Android tablet with Google stuff, I'd get a Nexus 7, Galaxy Tab, Asus Memo Pad HD, etc.

I'm with you, but remember that the Kindles are squarely aimed at a much more mainstream market than that for the N7. Simpler interface (but less flexible--hmmm, sound familiar?), and that big big Amazon ecosystem--there are plenty of people who go for that!
