I really like my Kindle Fire.
My main objective in joining this group is to get information on how to add more apps to it.
I have added go launcher ex, this has really improved its looks.
I have been trying to get android apps from google play store loaded.
So far i have not found a way since i do not have an android phone.
I loaded google drive, but this did not help.
Does anyone know a way to load apps from google play store unto the kindle fire without rooting it and without the use of an android phone.

I sold my Kindle Fire to a friend and bought a Nexus 7. I haven't regretted it so far. There are a lot more features on the Nexus.

I am overjoyed that I was able to access the Amazon App Store and install all my apps I bought for the Fire onto the Nexus. I did the same with my music and books. Amazon had an MP3, Kindle reader, and App Store apps. All you have to do is change the setting on the Nexus to allow installation of 3rd party apps.

The only thing that will not transfer are streaming movies. But that is not a problem since I am able to get Amazon movies on my 32 inch internet ready HDTV.

It's something to consider. Or you can wait for the Kindle Fire 2 and have it all.

As far as I know, the Fire cannot access the Google Play store. It's a one way street.
