I was not having any issues with the time zone until I made a change in the world clock. When I opened the clock it had my current location, Miami, and my home location as Eastern Time. I wanted for home to show as Miami so I made the change from Eastern Time to Miami. This seems to have angered my EVOLTE as I got the time zone error today. May be coincidental, but wanted to put it out there. Don't change just in case.

Phone numbers for contacts within text messagenot getting converted to complete phone numbers:

When I get / send a text to a contact in my address book only the last 7 digits of the phone number seem to be getting highlighted/underlined (linked so to say),

So a contact's numbers being (212) 123 4567.. only the 123 4567 part get's linked like this and clicking on it also takes only 123 4567 with it, not the (212) part... essentially breaking the contact linkage from the messaging.

Im having trouble with current location on the home screen. it only had the actual city i was in listed for one day.. the rest of the time it just says current location. any one know how to remedy this?

Mine is too. Can't seem to find the area I'm in.

Screen not going black/turning back on when holding phone to your ear and removing phone from ear.
On a call with speaker phone on...turning the speaker OFF makes screen go black.

same problems here... was wondering if it was made liekt this, but doesnt make a lot sense i think

Two of them that I notice daily.

The weather/clock widget constantly shows the wrong weather until I press update. i.e. It'll say it's thunder storming and all there is is sunlight outside..

For some reason I constantly am unable to send or receive text messages as well as phone calls unless I turn on airplane mode and turn it off or update my PRL. Very irritating.

If not for these two things, the phone is fantastic.. The signal on this phone is also a little weaker than my OG EVO was. Kinda surprising..

Nope. I exchanged mine and that issue is gone now. Are you within the 14 days for an exchange?

Another productivity screen issue; some contacts are shown by name, others are shown by number, even if I have a name in them.

I also noticed that I have "unnamed" contacts in Google. Any idea how to delete them? EDIT - figured it out.

Anyone else having problems with phone calls, people on the other end are telling me my phone cuts in and out

Awful service, 3g will barely work, phone reboots very often, phone gets very hot, Sense freezes and phone has to restart, watching youtube video make phone freeze always, live wallpaper slows phone down, GPS has hard time getting signal, lots of dropped calls. Would not receive texts or calls most of yesterday, my girlfriend thought I was in trouble...

Drops wifi signal constantly, stays in roam mode a lot, Awful browser, text allign in browser does not align correctly, menu button in ICS is 10 times more work than having the physical menu button.

Saved contact numbers come up in caller id as just a phone number. Contacts only show phone numbers in some texts every now and then, annoying time zone keeps popping up, weather app freezes often. Speaker phone volume is so low and crackles.

This is what I could find after 2 days of use. I am sure there will be more to come. I tried to return it to best buy, but they have none in stock and have a list of people that have duds.. With only a 14 day return policy, I might have to return it and go AT&T. I am off contract and can’t deal with Sprint service anymore.

I still love the LTE Evo and the screen is amazing and I am so mad that it has so many issues on a crappy service provider with no full LTE till 2013. I dealt with 2 years of being lied to of getting 4g and 2 years later nothing.

In the browser, bookmarks I've added won't create a thumbnail for all of them. About half of the bookmarks I've added won't update with a snapshot of the page.

Any chance we can get some of the other bug threads merged and stickied on top?

Time Zone issue also.

These were the issues from my 1st LTE. I have since exchanged it and have no issues anymore.

I have the screen going blank too. BB says it's normal, i've already returned one phone that was defective. I'm beyond my return period, HTC acts like they aren't aware of the issue. Any suggestions? I have a new Zagg protector on phone & that did not fix the issue.

I'm suffering from the wifi dropping issue. Just tried setting the frequency to a constant 2.4 GHz to see if that helps.

Also, try this app. It's called Smart Sync Disabler.

Apparently, Sense turns Wifi off at night if the phone is asleep.
This app prevents that

Well I traded my phone in for a second one and that had bad reception as well. It would never go over 3 bars and it had a bad screen. The whites looked tan and had a color problem. I compared it to a one x and tested the white in the web browser. The one x was super bright white, so that EVO went back.

I switched it out for a third today, and I finally get better reception. The whites are now white. I just hope it lasts.

After playing with this phone for a while, I look back and really had 2 bad reception devices. Thank god best buy was very helpful with a 30 day warranty.

I too had the same problem with the weather widget showing "Current Location" instead of my actual location of Tulsa, OK. I did the update to the PRL/Profile and also the phone activation without success. While searching the Sprint.com website in the Community Forums section, someone posted a possible solution to the "Current Location" problem. It was suggested that you let your battery drain completely and then recharge it.

On (06/26/12) I let my battery drain completely and then recharged it and sure enough my location of Tulsa now shows up on the home screen in the weather widget and so far the phone hasn't asked me to reset my location since doing this.

I say give this a try and see if it works for you. Good Luck !!
