Lack of traffic here a harbinger N10 sales?

I was just thinking this. For a note announcement coming up tomorrow, the forum traffic is pretty light. At the moment it seems the note 10 is lacking excitement like other announcements have seen.

I don't see the traffic here being much different from the Note 9 pre announcement. I do see the same level of skepticism though. When it's announced today and Samsung actually starts promoting it, there will be more buzz. Most of you will probably get it.. If not by launch, within the next 3 months. That 256gb starting storage and dual aperture front facing camera will be enough to get your attention. I also might have no clue as to what I'm talking about but I'll be at Barclays Center this afternoon and I think the reaction will be telling. Really surprised by no jack.. . Also, I totally see the S11 following the same path. Even if reaction to having no jack is negative, Samsung is going to try to push it a.k.a. Bixby.

wait ... "dual aperture front facing camera" ?? hmmm guess this is d reason it only has 1 selfie cam, as compare to the S10+ . this should be interesting, bcuz it can basically give the wide angle effect.

I thought the same thing, but that's probably about to change starting today!!!!! I'm so excited for Unpacked. Once we have confirmation of what Samsung is bringing to the table, we'll be able to have informed conversation; although I enjoy ANY conversation about a Note device ;-)

Well stated.

I'll definitely be in these forums after the announcement...positives and negatives lol.

Other than some apparent media shilling, general comments seem to range more of indifference and negativity towards the new N10 devices. Previous Notes had far more traffic at AC.

Also wondering if Samsung is BSing S10 sales numbers with what's sitting in channels, verses what has actually sold through to consumers. I can't find one retailer I've visited in the US or England that touts great S10 sales. Typical response has been "less than expected", or "underwhelming".

Hopefully the 11 series gets rid of the notch and brings back the jack. Getting rid of the reflective and distorted curved edges would be nice too.

First time since the 5 series I'm skipping. Note 9 rocks overall.

I actually don't care about 'phone sales' I buy a new phone every two yrs, or when there is a substantial upgrade to the hardware.
I don't think the price is going to be that much of a deterrent. People who want it will buy it, people who don't (for whatEVER reason)won't. Isn't that always how it works?
Meanwhile, I just pre ordered mine and can hardly wait! LOL

I don't look at price per sa.

At the flagship level it's a personal choice as I can afford any of the devices.

That said it must be worth it to me. And going back a long way the note range has proved to be the Swiss army knife I need it to be.

Exactly. I pay for what I want. And N7 type disasters aside, the Note series has always been my stalwart.

I am not much of a camera gal, but I was impressed with the things the camera can do with the new s pen.

I don't think lack of forum presence indicate anything. Forums are a dying form of communication. People are going to social media. I think the immediate and varied ways to communicate are what's appealing on SM.

Forums also represent a very skewed sample (ie, new users, or tech enthusiasts) - so this is definitely not representative.

When I was speaking to them at the a Unpacked Event, they guy only said the front facing camera had optical zoom. So no real word about aperture, so I'm guessing that's not true.
