Lacking in smoothness?

For sure! And those tester/display models take a beating. You never know if those speed tests will be true across the board for every device from every product line as it is. I do see the point of a speed tests in theory but after being burned once by them I have sworn off them for a while!
This too. I've seen a couple of displays models and they're all laggy and unresponsive as well.

Absolutely! You never know who was tinkering with it. I've seen some beaten-up display units. Shameful, for sure.
The stores should do more to maintain the display phones. I think they really should do a factory data reset every day to keep it fresh

I've been «researching» (in layman's terms) for days on getting a new phone, and I've been left with two options: LG G6 and Honor 9.

They're about equal when it comes to processing power and all that, and I went to the store to trying them out in real life.

The Honor 9 felt kinda slow on the trigger. On the G6, apps opened lightning-fast, and scrolling in the menus and such were a breeze. On the Honor, it felt consistently slower. Not that is is slow per se, it might be an animations speed setting thing, but it opened stuff noticably slower than the G6.

I find reviews to be bad in nothing stuff like this, the user experience felt totally different between the two.

Nevertheless, I left the store feeling confident about the LG, and a bit disappointed about the lack of «wow factor» on the Honor 9. On paper, they were about as good, the Honor has double the storage (64 GB) and a LED light (!), but the lack of smoothness nagged me.

Did you ever picked one up ?
