Lag when unlocking the phone (using fingerprint lock)

Ok slightly of topic.. I dont have the finger print unlock activated, even switched off the animated swipe to unlock. Just have the plain circle with lock icon for the unlock. Despite this I still experience this puzzling lag when I press the power button, a few times a day. Usually screen freezes for a few seconds gets unresponsive, when it unlocks continues lagging for a bit and then gets to normal. You guys have any suggestions for this, its my work phone and just is very annoying when I need it to power up for work and it lags like this. Tried wiping the cache partition as well...

Hard luck, mine just freezes up again after wiping out the cache.... This is getting annoying

24 hours after wipe cache partition, so far no hang/ freeze when unlocking my phone using fingerprint. Will update here if the lag occurs again.
