Lag!!

My S22U arrived today and it is really laggy. It is so bad that something has to be wrong.

Could it be due to the initial setup and all that jazz? If it still persists, contact Samsung. That's very disappointing to hear.

iirc, all USA phones are snapdragon, but you said yours is Exynos.

New phones are usually laggy while installing all your old apps, charging the battery for the first time, and such. I'd wait till all of that is done, and then see if it's behaving more normally tomorrow.

While you are setting up your new phone and restoring apps and downloading updates and so forth, your phone will seem like it has lag. Be patient and let it all finish and settle down. Set it on a charger and relax.
Let it finish settling into the network...installing apps and updates in the background.
Then when it is finished reboot it and enjoy your new phone!

Also most manufacturers deliver an update on day 1 to fix issues. So I wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung releases an update sometime this week.

Mine is laggy to, after 4 days - i have problem with screen, with lags and sometimes the devices is rebooting for no reason... Exynos here as well.

it sounds like you have a bad device. You should seek a replacement

Sounds to me the same ole exynos lag issues, now we wait for bad battery results and overheating. Just opinion,

Most of us haven't even got the device. So a bit early to tell if lag is an issue.

Yeah maybe see if there are many more reports before seeking advice, but it does sound like more than the usual Exynos lag and/or battery drain.

It's usual to get lag and more battery usage during setup but gradually it should get better until it has fully optimized after a week or so.

Maybe there will be a software update soon also, it's definitely something to keep an eye on.

My phone's been working for hours trying to get everything setup for me. I don't dare try to interrupt to see if there's lag. I already know there will be.
