laggy multi tasking button

I find on my X (4.2) to have a laggy multi tasking button and it actually half the time doesn't show me the last app used. It shows me the last apps used when the screen turned off last time. In order to show current apps on multi task button I have to hit it twice and then suddenly the current crop of apps show up. Any ideas or suggestions? any one has similar issues?

Yes. It's a known issue. I've seen this as well.
