Lapdock question

friend of mine is looking at the Bionic but we have a question i can't find a straight answer to.

does the lapdock connect to the internet through the BIonic's 3G/4G connection or does it require hotspot or wifi?

The lapdock connects to the Internet through the phone's 3g/4g connection. no hotspot or wifi required.

It uses whatever the phone is using. If you're on wifi, you'll continue to be on wifi, if you're on 3G/4G you'll be on that.

Verizon (for once) had the foresight and wisdom NOT to pull an AT&T to require hotspot or tethering plans to support it. So you just pick it up, connect your phone to it, and you're up and running.
