They blew it at the very beginning. The camera mod should have been a killer. Instead it was only really good for zooming. There are only so many battery mods one needs. Great concept, surprised they supported it as long as they did but they didn't bring out that must have mod which should have been the best camera on any smart phone at the time.

Mods sound like a great concept but the implementation is an ongoing struggle. The biggest hurdle is Mod longevity between model changes which puts definitive constraints in phone size and limits other progressive changes.
