Last Note??

I already made the Note 20 Ultra and Fold 2 my last high end Sammy devices.

I'm going for mid-range devices from here on. These will last me a good 4-5 years even after updates stop.

They want to force the Fold purchases.

Looking back on the history of the device, it may have been better if it was simply a part of the Galaxy S line. Similar to how you have a Camaro Z/28 and and SS or a Mustang GT and Shelby GT 500. They are both the same car, just a submodel. Perhaps that is what they are planning on doing?
It was how GM had too many models and killed off few of them but kept key ones to their heritage.

Pontiac gone
Oldsmobile gone
Buick certain models

2 cars won't go is corvette and camaro

Same Ford
Got rid of mercury
Most of their car lines except
Mustang and Lincoln

The Note phone is Samsung flagship of any device , if anything I would think the Note would be offered a pen and one without and kill off the S series and some other mid-range phones .

I feel it's kind of like that already and it's just a question of naming convention and release date.

We have one with the pen and without already

I may be wrong but doesnt the S line outsell the Note line every year? If so I don't know if it would be wise to discontinue the S line even if in name only. The avg consumer doesn't really care as much about the specs as they do the name they trust. Us power users do. I always thought the S was for everyone while the note was for business and enthusiast. This year I think was the clearest differentiation between the S20 Ultra and the Note 20 Ultra. The S seemed to be geared towards media consumption and the note towards business but both were extremely high end but not necessarily better than one another. Before the note was the whole kitchen sink while the S was just the fancy faucet. idk just my opinion on it.

It's possible the S series outsells the Note , but the Note is the true flagship. I know they geared to different customers and I've had both side by side for long time but if a move were to be made I think it's the s series because it doesn't offer S pen and it's software function, other phones could replace it. You can say S series could add a pen I don't think Samsung would go that way , I'm just thinking , could be wrong ...we see !

Yeah....it doesn't matter what you call but calling it a Note implies a pen
Could say same if they were to add the S series a pen , it's a Note not as series at that point . Who knows what they thinking at this point

Going back to enjoying my Note 20 , see what happens next year if we get same topic lol

I don't see the differentiation being the clearest. How is one geared different than the other? I have both and I can't distinguish any difference in capabilities except pen features? What can an S in terms of media consumption do that a Note can't do?

It's not so much what the note can't do that the S can but more so what it's marketed as is what I meant. The S is marketed as taking photos, watching videos being on social media. While the note markets it's pen and ability to help its users productivity. Of course it can do all the things the S can do, pretty much like any modern phone can, but the marketing is different.
