last two days with the EVO...

this is what I'm trying to figure out because if that's the case my 14th day is tomorrow I need to get this phone back asap. This is going to cause people like me to have to keep the EVOlte I believe if it is delayed until next week.
 
I will be doing the same. I just cant take anymore of the lack of multitasking, even something as simple as keeping google music opened at all times is a struggle.

Does anyone know if I can preorder the S3 for an exchange?
 
I don't think you'll be disappointed. I use to have an old Evo and now Im on the epic touch. I have not regretted my decision at all so far. :)

That's what I did. I pre ordered through bb. If you haven't done so already I believe it'll be to late. Doesnt hurt to give them a call. Good luck!
 
I am right with the OP ... It's hard as hell to return my EVO but i have to see how the SIII performs ... I have business apps that reloads each and every time i go back into ... It's frustrating as hell when you are four our five steps into an app only to have to go through those same steps once you leave the app ... If it turns out that Sammy has problem i will weigh them out and go back to the LTE lesser of two evils.

+1 and the multitasking issue will never get fixed cuz HTC doesn't see it as a problem. Hell just last night I was booking my flight to Spain and had to check another page. Come back to it and I had to start all freaking over. Definitely the last straw wanted to chuck my phone across the room!!

Called my local Best Buy, they said they are still taking pre orders but not for exchanges. In order to do an exchange I have to wait until the store has regular stock. Its going to suck if they don't have any and my 30 days pass.
 
My BB said I can can come in tomorrow and pre order even though I'd be exchanging.

Has anyone seen/touched and s3 or even a dummy. I like to feel before I buy.

Yes! This is why I decided against it. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANOTHER DEVICE FROM A SPRINT STORE! They said that it was a $35 restocking fee!

But to answer your question, they told me that unless you exchange your device within 3 days, they will charge another activation fee.

3g randomly drops and gives me a cannot con.ext to Sprint mobile data error at least once daily.

Your drop of 3g network isn't a bad phone its a bug that HTC needs to fix. I've already went through two evos and same issues with both. Also just to clarify no you won't get charged an activation fee.
 
Have any of you guys double checked if you are Premiere Silver Status with your Reward Zone account at BB ??? If so you get a 45 day return policy, maybe by then there will be stock on non pre ordered Galaxy 3 units ? Just a thought.

I checked, I'm nowhere close to the $2500 needed to get Silver. My parents are (they bought all new appliances) but since it is a seperate household I doubt I can use theirs.

Yeah, it would need to have been purchased originally with that reward zone account, I check mine today and they forgot to even put it on my acct GRRR, have to go back tomorrow, sell back my Epic Touch and re purchase the LTE for 45 more days of test drive ;)

Our only hope is that AOSP/AOKP/CM can give us a working phone. I think even if HTC does fix it, they will never admit they screwed up.

And at this point I will NEVER buy another HTC phone and will turn as many people away as possible. Hardware is great, but they destroy Android to the point where it not only is just a weird overlay to a good OS, but an actual broken implementation and interruption of a functional OS.
