Just had the latest update to android 9 one UI version and I'm having an irritating issue ive never encountered or noticed before.
Every previous page, view, folder or screen is held where I left it after exiting my device. This doesn't sound like much but its incredibly annoying.
If going into folders for example to access old photos and then going onto internet for something else, and then at a later stage going back to my folders I'm all of a sudden back in my photos folder and not on the actual folders index page. This does this with everything on the phone including YouTube etc.
If i forget where I've been it's very confusing and it can take a while to actually work out where I am.
It never used to do this and I really don't like it.

You're not closing your apps when you're finished using them (by hitting the Back button), you're just running the launcher (by hitting the Home button), leaving the apps running in the background. All that happens when you "run the app again" is that it's brought to the foreground, in exactly the state you left it. Start using your Back button - that's what it's there for.
