Launch day plans

Anyone have any traditions? What's the first thing you're going to do and play with? Anyone taking the day off and ordering a pizza or something and setting everything up and playing around with the new flagship?

My phone "should" arrive on my birthday. So the plan is to take the day off. I will spend most of the day on my phone, decorating and tweaking. I always get a new ringtone. I've got 5 clear cases ready to go, but I know my Poetic Affinity will be the first one I pull out. I'll get my Buds+ on Tuesday, but I'm not opening them until I get my phone.

Nothing special, get the phone unbox, admire and enjoy. Mostly spending lots of time with it, setup everything, take some sample pics etc.

I always do a fresh install, doesn't take that much time for me anyway. May be an hour or so to fully setup fresh, just want to start fresh and take that opportunity to remove unwanted apps etc. I also want to give the new phone it's best chance to impress me without any previous stuff

I will still be in training as I just started a new job last week I will be going to work as usual I may try to pick it up at the shipping location first thing in the morning if possible we'll see what options I have when it gets to that point

I insanely keep hitting the refresh button and stalking the Fed Ex guy. If my husband gets my package he can't open it or I'll divorce him. LOL I go through this every new phone I get LMAO

I will do a fresh install and stay up all night tweaking all the settings in the phone.

I've always done a transfer from old phone to new one. Never actually started a phone off fresh.

I've never done a fresh install....it would take too long. I usually use Samsung Switch, but I'm going to use Samsung Cloud restore and choose what apps I want to install from backup, this time, because I definitely don't want everything.

Can't you select what apps you want from switch?

I didn't see the option. Maybe you can. I don't usually select...I just restore everything. I know you can select with Samsung Cloud.

Not super excited this time around. I think that's reflected in the forum as well. It used to be super active at this point in the pre-order period. Even just last year, there was more excitement. That's understandable, I think. Don't get me wrong, looking forward to getting my S20, but there's just a lot about the S10 that the S20 doesn't have, that I'm gonna hate giving up too.

I didn't see the option. Maybe you can. I don't usually select...I just restore everything. I know you can select with Samsung Cloud.

Yeah....I did it recently to restore just one app.
You just drill down in the apps category and deselect all and reselect what you want.
