My pre-order that had a delivery date of the 20-21 was cancelled.. I called Google and they had no clue as to why.

I was able to reorder but now my delivery date is the 24

I guess on the bright side, I did get my order in before it changed to 4-5 weeks for delivery...

I hope it comes on the 20-21 but it looks like I might have to struggle through the weekend without it....

Yeah this is really unsatisfying. Why not Google just give the reviewers pre-launched handsets so that they can shed some more light on the handsets. Thank you.

They do, every major review site either already has one on hand or will soon. They just are not allowed to talk about it until Google says so.

The idea behind this is so that no single outlet has an advantage over the other..

It also keeps bad press away until as close to launch date as possible should there be any

I'm sure I saw in another thread that Verizon corporate stores are supposed to have demo Pixels for display today. Has anyone been to a store and seen them? I may go by one near me at lunch to see.

delivery date. shipping is to happen either tomorrow or thursday depending on your pick of shipping method and when the order was placed.

Oh stop whining - I am still "Wait Listed" and can't even get one ordered from Google! At least be happy happy you have some kind of status!

Edit: I posted this, then went to Google Store and scored a Quite Black Pixel XL in 128 32 GB ??? O.K., O.K., someone was listening already... estimated delivery 10/27 - 10/31! I'll shut up now!

Edit: On 10/20, I was able to catch a 128 GB Quite Black Pixel XL on Google Store, so I crossed my fingers (that I could still cancel the 32 GB order) and ordered it. Once confirmed, I quickly cancelled the 32GB order successfully and lost about 3 weeks delivery time (I think I also lost my Daydream cuz' this was an order, not a preorder)! Worth it to me for the extra capacity, for sure. 11/23 - 11/25 delivery now!

Ordered mine through Project Fi right after the page went live. Last night my order went from "Pending" to "Closed". This am it now says "Processing". Still says 10/26-10/28.

Yeah mine used to say Pending now it says Processing ...

I opted for the free shipping and it says the same dates as you have above. Enjoying watching all the YouTube reviews and reading reviews as well to tide me over. Time to order some USB-C cables....
