launcher and everything else stopped

[AC Question]

I have a new Cambridge Sciences Starpad 2.7 which worked for a few days but just says 'unfortunately launcher has stopped' then google has stopped then absolutely everything else has unfortunately stopped and I can't do anything else. Rebooting doesn't work nor does pressing the reset button and I haven't been able to get hold of Cambridge Sciences to get help

If you hold power and volume up, will that bring you to recovery where you can do a reset?
