Launcher Pro and EB01 S.C. 2.9.

go into the app drawer and to get out of it hit the home button. You should get a prompt asking which program you want to complete the action with. At the bottom will be an option you can check to make this the default choice. Check that, then click on LP

If you don't get that option you need to go into:

Settings > Manage Applications

click on Running Tab

Scroll down to the AOSP launcher and click on it

Bottom of that screen should be a button "Clear Defaults"

Then do what Landshark said

Yeah, I've been having to do that lately too. Are you running Adry's media scan script?

I've been having to do that too. I get dump errors on my sd card and have to clear them fairly regularly. I have run the fxpms before, but I don't know if I've run it since I've been up and running. What exactly does it fix, and would I still get the dump error files after running it?

And by the way, Shark - I don't restore "all" apps - just the missing ones for fear that I would get force closes or have 2 different versions or some other issue.

Last question - How do I get the Market to recognize all my apps that I've installed via TB? In order to tell which ones have updates that need to be installed. Thanks, man.

when you enable background data and open the market, it should tell you which of your apps have updates available. not sure about fxpms.

I am not as technically proficient as I would like to be, so I would probably botch the explanation of permissions and fixing them. There is a whole section on that in DroidXcon's clockwork thread:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...-clockworkmod-recovery-w-screen-captures.html

I guess I'd just like to know when to run the fix permissions? I don't get force closes every time, so I'm wondering if I need to run it. Just takes a long time if I want to wait out the launcher pro force close at the beginning of a reboot. As opposed to just unlocking my phone and trying to slide through the homescreens, hit force stop after the error and then hit the home button again.

I fix permissions after I flash a new ROM or theme.

since I downloaded LP, whenever I'm in my contacts folder & I hit the back button to go out, it takes me to my text messaging folder and then I "have" to get the home to get out of that, my back button doesn't wrk ...anyone have that problem or know a fix?

Some people have had success by changing the shortcut to something else and then changing it back to Contacts. You might give it a shot.

tried and failed ..thanks for the suggestion though ...you think LPP would be any different?

Open up root explorer. on the first page, two of the folders you will see will be data, and right below that one dbdata

Go data=>data=>com.fede.launcher, long press on that folder and delete
back button two times
dbdata=>databases=>com.fede.launcher, also delete
back button until you exit root explorer, open contacts, try back button. If it doesn't work that time, now follow the advice by eibbed0001, from your homescreen, long press on contacts icon, choose change shortcut, applications, choose phone, choose default icon. Press that phone icon to open dialer, back button out, long press that phone icon, change back to contacts, open contacts, try back button.

yessir

I actually downloaded it to follow the instructions you posted on the 1st page to get LP settings to stick

SON OF A......I'm posting too many times. I'm forgetting where I've posted what information. When you changed the shortcut before did you do it like I described? If not, do it that way and if it doesn't work on first try, reboot phone right after that try. See if that completes the change.
