Launcher Pro not playing nice with stock Moto calendar & weather widgets

I just installed Launcher Pro on my Droid X last night and LOVE it. I am having one issue, though. I am using the stock Moto calendar and weather widgets, but they stopped updating after installing Launcher Pro. The calendar widget still shows July 22, and the weather widget is doing the same - it still shows yesterday's weather conditions. I just turned off the phone and back on again, and the calendar updated correctly to today's date but not the weather (still shows yesterday's). Is anybody else having this issue? I'm not running a task killer so I certainly didn't kill off the updating by mistake. I also checked the current running apps through the phone settings, and both the weather and calendar widgets are running. Thoughts?

Am I just better off replacing the stock widgets with a new calendar and weather widget from the market? If so, what are your suggestions? I read that Jorte and CalWidget are decent, as well as Weatherbug. Also, if I do replace the stock widgets, how do I go about stopping the background updating for those so I'm not wasting data or battery on them? Do I have to kill them off in the running apps list every time I turn the phone on?

I have same issue with the calendar. I also have Launcher Pro installed (though not latest update)

I believe the stock MOTO will not work with launcherpro. Get beautiful widgets and a calendar app. There's a good in market but can't recall the name

I have the same issue. Sucks if you want to use the weather widget when you're in dock mode. Someone should let the developer of Launcher Pro know...

It's not just a launcherpro thing. Any custom launcher is not able to take advantage of the widgets that are exclusive to a custom UI like philblur or sense. That's one of the reasons the launcherpro dev created LP plus and is creating his own custom widgets.

Thanks for the responses. It makes perfect sense, and it's no big deal to download a couple of free widgets. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a phone issue. Market here I come!

Odd, the weather widget works fine for me. The others have weird problems, though.

use the pure calender widget. It is scrollable in Launcher Pro. I also use beatiful widgets.

I just downloaded Jorte and it looks and functions fantastic! I also got Fancy Widget for my time and weather so I'm all set. I'm surprised I waited a week to get Launcher Pro. The X looks and operates like a whole new device now!

Both my ac and wb widget. Work fine. As stated most of the Motorola Widgets are intergrated into the os and will not WORK with third party launchers. If you go to the the launcherpro forums you can read up and learn more.

The contact widgets dont work and its almost a deal breaker for launcher pro...sucks cause i love everything else but I cant find a replacement like those. any other ideas?

with newest update with LPP it works with philblur widgets but I don't know what widgets are included with philblur since I cleared my screens and have used LPP and his widgets. and with the newest LPP his. widgets are resizable awesome and fast is all I can say about LPP

I've tried all the moto widgets with the new update and they all resize great! You can actually resize any widget, which is awesome! I resized the lpp calendar and it s pretty nice. I have to say lpp is my favorite app and I'm definitely glad I bought the full version!

With the new update you can use the moto contact widgets but I've been using contact widget, which is similar and I actually like it better for 1x1 contacts

What I have learned is that it is wise to remove all widgets from stock launcher before using LP because it seems to cause conflict with the widgets running on both launchers and also it seems to drop the memory usage load.
