Launcher Pro :/

After a while with Launcher Pro, I returned back to Motoblur.

I wish they both could combine into one awesome launcher :/

I like Motoblur in general, but wish that they would incorporate the resizing of all widgets, utilize the corners/full extent of the screen, and have 5 icons for the dock below.

And cool screen transitions.


I think I'll try GO Launcher next, I keep hearing its name pop up.

same here, i tried ADW and Launcher pro, played with them a while but returned back to Motoblur, There are lots of cool graphical animation options to setup in those two launchers but for some reason i found that that they are sort of slowing down the overall responsiveness of the phone, also, i think the whole interface gets a bit more complicated, Motoblur is simple and doesn't lag and i actually find it very user friendly... I'd probably want to compare it with HTC sense one day just to see which one is easier to use...

My interface doesn't slow down, its just that I guess the widgets that I like and use don't work so well or just have trouble resizing.

Plus, I always find myself spending hours looking for new icons LOL.

Have you tried adjusting the number of columns and rows in the "Homescreen Settings" to get your widgets to resize the way you want? I'm currently using Launcher Pro and tweaked those settings until I got the look I wanted.

Yeah, I messed around with a whole bunch of combos of rows and columns, but some widgets like calendar pad and 3d weather clock are off when resized.

Only when it is back to 4x4, then the numbers/words fit where they are intended to.

Go with ADW Launcher EX. its better then launcher pro in my opinion. Has cool tranistions you can use to flip through the screens. But as you are, Im back on MotoBlur now to. Only because I actually like MotoBlurs Social widgets and its set up. Its pretty neat if you ask me.

Somewhat related queston here. I don't do twitter or facebook or any of that stuff and I'd just like to get confirmation that you can turn off/totally get rid of all of those widgets and hooks in motobur that pertain to those sites?

I assume you can, but just want to make sure as I've never had a motorola smartphone before.

If you didn't link those sites up to the MotoBlur account then your fine. Either way though you don't have to use the social things. They are there if you want to though.

Haha, I'm switching back and forth between Blur and LP+ on a daily basis now, apparently

I liked GO Launcher EX, but LP+ had better resizing options for what I wanted to do. I'll prob give LP+ a week and TRY not to go back to Blur tomorrow, to see if I like it or not.

Upside, is that I got to pass the time everyday I change and customize my screens haha.

BTW, Go Launcher EX has a lot more transitions than both LP+ and ADW EX combined. It's crazy.
