I downloaded the app and it says it's installed but I have no icon where all my other apps are. I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried to open from my notifications screen but the button that says "open" is grayed out and I can't select it. What am I doing wrong?

First no need to use bolded fonts. Its a bit harder to read.

When you state you see no icons where your apps are. Do you mean your home screen or the app drawer?

You need to add icons to the home screen but your apps should show up in the app drawer.

easy way to test - click your home button

it should probably ask you what you want to use (Launcher Pro or whatever the stock DX uses)

If you select Launcher Pro you will have basically blank screens when you first start using it - shortcuts widgets etc will have to be re-setup in Launcher Pro - they won't carry over from the stock launcher)

You also won't see a LauncherPro icon in your app drawer....if that was what you were looking for...

I use ADW Launcher. It does not show up in the app drawer because it is not an app. If you download a wallpaper, it does not show up in your app drawer.

Do your home screens look different? Are your home screen apps and widgets re-organized, moved or missing?

On a home screen, hit the menu button. See if you have a selection for Launcher Pro settings.

Hmmm... this I did not know.. I just went straight into configuring the Launcher Pro Menus. Question: once you have the Launcher Pro Menu's configured, can you switch back and forth between the factory launcher and Launcher Pro without loosing any settings...? just curious..

The home button trick will only work if you haven't set Launcher Pro to be the default launcher - but it should give you that option at least the first time you try it (with the check mark option to make whatever action you choose the default one)

as for your other question - if you have existing screens set up on the stock launcher - and then go and set up screens in Launcher Pro - you can switch back and forth between them and the icons widgets etc will stay where you set them up in each respective launcher (if that makes sense)

I don't use Sense on my Incredible anymore so I've since gone back and cleaned out all the icons/widgets etc in the Sense Launcher because someone suggested they still might try to run in the background...

I believe you go in to setting -> applications -> launcherpro and then clear defaults
