Lol ya. Its not a big problem but it would be nice to not accidentally end the launchers.

wow dreman i really thought someone would know this but i guess its not going to happen.

You can move your launcher of choice into /system/app using a file explorer, like Root Explorer or Astro File Manager. I'm not sure that will exclude it from the task manager, though.

Oh well =(

  1. why are you killing off all your apps,
  2. no you cant hide them because it is showing you want your system is running

task manager is not meant to be killing off all your apps, yeah there is an all option but its not meant to be used all the time, you shouldnt be killing off all your tasks in the first place, thats why it isnt easy to get to, otherwise they would have made a widget to kill everything off

Yea maybe just to see if people in the know will see it better. Im all for knowing its not a big deal but it would be nice not to have it show up in there.

You don't need to start a new thread so people will see it better. Every time you post a question in this thread, it brings this thread to the top of page 1 in the Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks forum. So it is already right up front for everyone to see. We all have regular jobs we work and can't always be on the forums to get to questions right away.

Launcher Pro showing up in task manager is just a glitch that doesn't affect anything. No matter what launcher you have, your launcher is ALWAYS running. The other launchers aren't showing up in task manager when you are running them, but they are still running in the background. So the only difference between LP and the others is that you can actually see in your task manager that it is running. I prefer LP to the other launchers, so I just ignore that is shows up in the task manager.

ETA - also since the launcher you are using is always running, right after you end LP in task manger, as soon as you do anything that involves the launcher, it will reappear in the task manager. So ending the launcher in task manager does not hurt anything, it is just unnecessary to do.

But it hids twt back when i used it and the launcher that came with 2.9.2 it dosent show it running if i dont have LP on so i didnt know if that would hide it.

ok, sorry guys. stupid job.

with root explorer move the new launcher, which everone you decide on, to the system/app folder. make sure you press the mount r/w once in the system folder. when that is dont delete twlauncher. your phone will imideatly start force closing. just reboot and everything should be fine.

I did not delete the file, I just renamed it in case I needed to go back.

LP always force Closes on initial boot-up so I went ahead and installed Go Launcher EX. No more FC issues. It's pretty sweet. I'm gonna keep it for a while and see how I like it. It's like a mixture of LP and ADW. The only thing is I do not like the default icons. Is there a way to take the icons from the LP apk and put them into the GO launcher apk? If so where or what file are they located in?

Thanks

BB

Woah woah calm down everyone. No need for cap shouting. My mistake for thinking it should have been another thread. Won't make that mistake again.

I think it needed to be alone because everytime me or derman asked it. It got over looked because it was a different question we were asking.
