Launchers question

I had Beautiful Widgets on the phone I just came from, droid X. One of the reasons I could not wait to change phones was that it was VERY lagging, freezeups, etc, requiring battery pulls all the time.

I am just wondering if these launchers can be part of that problem, and am hesitant to install one on my awesome G3. I know that the problems I had could be caused by a number of other apps / issues, but it was so frustrating that I am almost afraid to add anything to new phone, because I love how it is fast reacting! So many times I wanted to toss the X out a window...

I have Go Launcher installed with no problems. I even have the CPU limited in power savings. No lag at all.

Trust me, it was the phone. I came from the DX too. The S3 is light speed compared to it.

Just try them out and if you see lag then uninstall.

I believe beautiful widgets is not a launcher. Either way, I use Nova launcher and beautiful widgets and the phone just runs perfectly, no problems at all.

I had the exact same problems with my droid x but it didn't start until the gingerbread update...it decimated my phone...and all 4 "refurbished" ones after my original...It was an awesome phone with froyo...I couldn't wait to get a new phone...glad the S3 came out just in time...happy so far with it!!!

I am using and loving Nova. But I tested Apex, Launcher Pro+, and ADW EX. All worked fine except Launcher Pro+ which had random lockups just like it did on my Bionic. I really like the widgets in LP+, but Nova is working great and lag free for me and gives me the docks and interface changes I want (vertical app drawer, more home screens, etc).
