Yeah, I tried a couple times but the force close loop keeps coming back. I'm gonna try a battery pull and power cycle it and see if that possibly would have a different outcome, which I doubt but hopefully.

Also try clearing cache and fixing permissions in CWM.

When I click the link it says it cant be found...Nevermind, I was clicking on it too soon, it changed from long list of letters to this zip and I just dl it now

Once you get that file downloaded do everything in this order.
1.) Close ODIN
2.) If your phone is plugged into your computer, unplug it now.
3.) If your phone is not powered down, power it down now.
4.) Remove battery from phone.
5.) Launch ODIN on PC.
6.) Plug USB cable into phone.
7.) Press and hold the volume-down key.
8.) Plug your Fascinate into the computer via USB cable.

You should now see a gigantic yellow triangle and your phone will be in download mode. You can now release the volume key.

9.) Click on the PDA button in ODIN

Triple check that you pushed the PDA button. Do NOT click the Phone button prior to continuing to step 11. If you choose Phone, you will have bought your Fascinate a one-way ticket to hell.

10.) Choose the CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09_RED.tar.md5. <<<-----Note: this is in the zip I gave you.
11.) Phone will power down when finished.

And if I click start after it says invalid image type, it says check files and does nothing....

I don't remember you answer regarding the drivers. Did you ever go in and uninstall all Samsung related drivers in the add/remove programs list and then reinstall the ones on Samsungs website? Also are you 32 or 64 bit?

Even if the phoney is unplugged he wouldn't get invalid file...this is between odin and the computer
