Leaks and Rumors: Galaxy Note 20?

Last phone I purchased <and still use daily> is the Note 8. I WILL be preordering the Note 20 Ultra. Note 8 is still doing its thing but 3 years with the same device... I use to change phones yearly but the Note line hasn't seen enough changes for me until now.

They make clear cases with different materials including hard plastics and tempered glass backs
I've come to the conclusion that a hard plastic back clear case is the only way to go if you don't want a yellow mess within weeks and brown within months.

Here in exynos land, I usually get the email to pre order the minute the presentation is over.
I'm hitting the buy button for sure. I've heard that they might start the preorder right after the announcement tomorrow, anyone else hear that? I'm assuming I'll have to get up at midnight as usual.

I know the announcement is tomorrow but how soon will stores have them in to look at?

So what's the consensus? Looks like a definite upgrade over the note 10 plus but I have an s20 ultra and am a bit disappointed. Looks like a side grade? Better in some areas perhaps worse in others. Presumably the camera will be improved. Battery life remains a question mark. S pen is a nice feature but not a must have for me. How mich will the variable refresh rate help? I guess it comes down to the preorder deals and enhanced trade in values.

If I still had my ultra, I think I would have passed on this. It's a upgrade from note 10+, not from the s20, it's basically just adding the S pen.

Available from August 21st, am on vacation starting 20th but we all know we are getting delivery for Samsung.com orders on 19th the Wednesday. Going to enjoy the new Ultra taking awesome pics on vacation

Sadly they are only offering 650 trade in on the s20 ultra. That feels low to me. Basically 650 charge to upgrade. Even with the freebies this feels like a pass. I'm not seeing 650 worth of improvements. If you have a note 10 plus 650 seems solid.

Last year the Microsoft Store offered a better trade-in than Samsung--I traded in a Pixel2 at the time & got $100-200 more. I didn't keep that Note 10 though. But at New Years they offered a little less trade-in but the phone was $300 off & included a free wireless charging stand.

So keep an eye on what Microsoft offers...

Samsung offering $550 for Note 9! I think they only offered $600 last year for Note 10 upgrade

Pretty much the same sentiment here. It will be a great device for sure. But.....The only reason I see to upgrade is the focus issue should not be an issue on the Note 20 Ultra. As time passes it may be more difficult for me to say no but right now I'm leaning toward staying with my S20 Ultra. I do have an S20 Plus I could trade in but I'm content with keeping that as my backup. Before anyone asks, no I'm not crazy having both. One is on my work line while one is on my personal line.

Think I may wait and see what the new iPhone and the Fold 2 have in store.

You couldn't possibly believe they were going to give more than 50% of the price of the Note 20 Ultra? They did the same thing with the S20 Ultra only gave half the price for training in a Note 10+.
And 650 for an s20 ultra. Come on samsung wth!

Only $400 for 4 XL, i thought pre order offer they will go upto $650 even for 4 XL.

Might just keep it and order the Ultra without trade in.

Well the n10 plus was 700 on trade when the s20 ultra was released so yes, I thought the trade would be more than 50 percent after 6 months.

Consider that samsungs buyback program guarantees you 50 percent after 2 years. 650 is a joke. Its actually less than 50 percent since the phone was 1400.

I'm not mad or anything. I get it but for me the math doesn't work. I still owe for my ultra and to tack on another 650 for whats at best an incremental update doesn't make sense. I knew buying the regular s line was a mistake and I wont make it again. As much as I like samsungs they hold their value like crap.

Exactly disappointing trade in for it ... I'm not surprised bc that was what they were offering for the Z flip 5G ... Not parting with mine ...

Trying to pre order from the link Samsung sent but not taking the full 200 credit, only taking $150 credit grr. Same problem as always from Samsung
