LED alert for text?

My little led will blink when I get an email, or a facebook update. However, it does not for a text message. If I swipe the lock screen, it says I have a mesage.

Stock S4, using the stock messaging built in the phone.

I looked in settings, didn't see anything. But perhaps I missed it.

Not there. The only thing there is an option to turn notification on or off. I have them turned on.

The only option for LED i've seen is under Settings > My Device Tab > LED Indicator. If you are getting LED notifications for the others, it should work for texts too, as it is not a per app setting. try turning it off for a while and then turning it back on ? Also, it could possibly depend on whether or not the messaging app is open in the background?

It works now. I didn't do anything differently.
