LED charging light changed after 3.1 & rooting

I was previously on Tiamat 1.4.1 and had the LED working all the time (even when the screen was on). Now after the 3.1 upgrade, and even after rooting and installing CWR it does not light.. only when the unit is turned off. I understand some people had theirs like that and some didn't. But it is interesting to note that now mine is off. I am wondering if there will be a patch (maybe another version of Tiamat?) that turns it on again. I was used to looking at it to see the battery status. Oh well.
