LED notification using Good Lock

I've been trying to use the Samsung Good Lock app to use the front camera ringlight to light up for notifications. I have the Eclipse notification selected within edge lighting +. Notifications will come through to the top task bar and also to the AOD, but I can't get the ring light around the front camera cutout to work. Have I overlooked something simple?

Are your notifications set to Sound AND pop up? The latter is essential to get any of the glowing edge options to work.

If you'd rather not have pop ups but still have the ring, I'd suggest looking into Holey Light

Yes they were. I finally got it to work by downloading an edge lighting fix app from the play store. Thanks for your help.
