LED Notification With Kit Kat

What LED? The Maxx doesn't have an LED.

The Maxx has a white LED in the upper left corner that lights only when the battery life is too low to start the device. It's an indicator to plug into power ASAP. I don't think that anybody has found a way to use it for general notifications.

I've never seen that led, then again I haven't been able to kill my battery in a a single day

As a former droid 4 owner I miss the LED light. However I will live. the active screen notifications are pretty nice.

From the manual:

?Low Battery LED: This LED lights up when you plug in your charger and the smartphone?s battery level is too low to power on the display. It means that your smartphone is charging and will be ready to use shortly.

While active notifications is really nice, I miss being able to look at my phone from across the room to see if I had any messages.

Can you control google play music with the pebble? For example volume control and forward or repeat.

For volume control, you can use the app Music Boss for Pebble, which allows volume controls. You can also use it to switch between various music apps on your phone (so you can switch from Play Music to Pandora to Plex, etc.) The stock Pebble music controls allow you to choose one app that you can control, and it will not change volumes.
