No problem, I've read it a couple times now. I hardly ever look at a manual but I'm soaking up as much info as I can while I patiently wait for the UPS truck.

I,too, would NOT get the phone without the LED's - like some above - it sits at work on my desk and a quick glance tells me exactly what's going on - I use LF too - works great!

what app are you using to show different notification colors? I have different colors blinking on my S8+ but I am not sure if I can choose what color I want for different notifications.

I use Lightflow. That allows me to do different lights for different aps.

If the user manual is available as a pdf, a link would be great. Google only pops one out for the older note 8 tablet.

I don't have a link. It was linked on an earlier thread. I think the title was "reading material"

I don't really use the LED notification because I almost always have my Gear S3 on me.

Yea I have a Gear S3 also but it doesn't seem to have the range when away from the phone so I don't wear it as often as I could.

Huh? Wouldn't it have better range to get a notification from let's say 20 feet away than line of sight? Unless you can see the LED from that distance, I would think the S3 would be better for that application. If I'm going greater than 30 feet away from my phone, the phone is going on my pocket so notifications on my S3 is always available.

Sorry I'm tired lol...I was just stating why i wasn't wearing it as often as I should. My reasons have nothing to do with the LED. I just don't wear my S3 because the bluetooth range isn't that good and I prefer to look at the LED's as they come a little before the vibrations from the watch.

That would be a deal breaker for me, half to be able to glance at the phone and see what's up, sometimes I have multiple colors blinking
I like being able to choose my own color for notifications

same. I like setting the color to specific apps or people so i know if it's important or not.

I was worried for a sec because I thought the Note 8 didn't have LED notifications and I hate the Always on display. But if anyone is wondering, I read the user manual and it DOES have LED notifications. (Probably not a big issue for anyone else but for me it was a big deal)

Look in settings under Display. I would guess that LED indicator is turned off.
