I dont know how to "flash" anything. I am sure its simple is there a walkthrough or tutorial I can look up on flashing a zip file to my phone?

Are you rooted and running the Reborn Rom?

if no the following may or may not work.....

if yes:

- from your phone browser click on the zip file link and download to your sd card
- Using the top power button, reboot your phone to recovery mode
- make a nandroid backup just in case (choose backup from menu)
- From the recovery menu choose install file from sd card
- Find the zip file you just downloaded (usually in the Downloads folder)
- select and install
- When it is finished reboot.

Awesome I can do all of that and yes I have Reborn....but....

New problem... when i try to download on my phone is the says the content is not supported on this phone download unsuccesful??

I am not sure...someone else may be able to chime in.

Maybe try just downloading and saving it to the SD card from the PC

Go to settings menu/SD card and unmount the card before you remove it.

OR just use the USB adapter to connect the phone to the PC and copy the file to the card through the PC explorer.

You may want to ask the question about not being able to download the zip file in the Reborn thread as the folks in there know much more than I.

Try a diff browser or download from your pc. The stock browser can be a fickle little u know what....

If this Factory Widget clock is at all accurate, my Optimus S averages a hotter temp on Reborn ROM than I remember from stock. Not more than 7-10 degrees, though. It does reach lower and higher extremes, however. Nearly 100 degree humid weather probably doesn't help much.

does the phone temperture make a major difference and is it worth investigating?

I'm rooted, running reborn ROM and loving it but I don't get to upgrade phones again (at least with a good upgrade credit) for another year and a half so this phone had better last!

Phone temp is important. What you need to also think about is... What's the room temp where ur at? If its hella hot out well expect to see ur battery hotter than on a cold ass snow day. But yes battery temp is very important. Its also good to make sure the battery isn't so hot that it melts your pocket
