Let Verizon know how you feel

i know it doesn't matter to anyone but this whole non release has made me decide to wait until spring to even consider another device.

Verizon will release it when they release it. They aren't doing anything to hurt or upset consumers. Like many of posters have been saying, Verizon never gave a release date, so nothing has been missed or "Delayed". According to them, the phone will be out by end of year. They still have 2 1/2 weeks til they miss that deadline. As of now, I want to be able to read something on here other than 500000000 people being upset that Verizon is trying to screw them over.

can we let Verizon run their business please? how are so many people taking offense because Verizon is handling their business.. Are sporting teams suppose to listen for playcalls from the stands? no.

How about we dont assume Verizon is doing something wrong because we decided to be unhappy? because we decided now this all should play out.. Verizon told us ONE THING. They said they will have the Nexus for sale this year.. and they will.. so many of you think what has happen so far is a reason to loathe a company?

you tell em guys!..........as long as Verizon releases this phone in the next decade we have no right to complain!!!...lol

rather than complain about a delayed launch I wrote to them that I called a local verizon store on the 5th and the 8th and both times they said I could come in on the 9th (friday) to pick up my galaxy nexus and they would even just bill it to my account. I get there Friday the 9th and they changed their tune but let me play w/ a demo unit...

I was more detailed as I had exact names of the people I spoke with and the store location.

Your analogy is off. The Verizon correlation to that would be telling Verizon when to open stores on the East coast.

Fans have a big impact on sporting teams, particularly in revenue streams. You don't keep the fans happy, they won't come and spend their money.

We're Verizon's "Fans" and we're throwing snowballs from the stands.

They are doing something wrong because I am not happy. I think the expectations that Verizon announce a release date, for a product that they have in their stores, in their wareshouses, and they've trained their staff on is not unreasonable.

I can't think of another hardware manufacturer who gets THIS CLOSE to a launch but doesn't announce a firm date. I'm not debating how long it's taken to get to this point, I'm talking about the fact that they cannot execute on a 2 day promise? Are you kidding me? 2 Days? That is absolutely shameful.

Verizon rides the wave of "I have a big, strong network", but the LTE outages chip away at that... and if other's catch up (like AT&T), Verizon is going to have to get it's act together or people really are going to jump ship.

In all fairness, aren't you one of the lucky few who got the phone early? I'd be pretty happy with Verizon too if I somehow had the Nexus now, I wouldn't care about when they officially release it.

EDIT: By the way, I did send them an email, I figured for one, it can't hurt. And two, I really do expect more from a company that is praised for their customer support and being the best carrier in the United States. A little bit of communication wouldn't hurt their business, and it would take what, 15 minutes to type up a PR statement?

I don't blame them over the delay, since there really was no official release date (even though December 9th was official, and there WAS a delay. Period. People need to stop hiding behind that.) I blame them for lack of communication which has totally screwed up the release of Google's flagship phone.

I'm still on here supporting the rest of the clan. I don't feel like anyone should be upset with Verizon, but I can understand excitement. I want to be here when others start getting their phones to share in the excitement and see how everyone loves the phone as well as help answer any questions people might have about the phone prior to them buying one.

Just doing my part.

Certainly didn't mean it offensively, just an FYI. You're definitely contributing your part. However, I feel like consumers have every right to be upset with Verizon's lack of communication over a phone that is "exclusive" and launched worldwide almost a month ago, and in North America almost a week ago.

I am just as upset and frustrated about the phone not being out yet as anyone else. However, people need to stop making a big deal about them not communicating the issues that may be going on.

A fraction of all phone owners even know and/or care about the Galaxy Nexus. Most average users go get a phone when they feel they need to or when they get told they can, so they just go into the store and pick out a phone based on what's there at the time. If Verizon makes a big to do about the reason this phone is being delayed then they are just shooting themselves in the foot. It may make us feel better, but if the average customer hears about an issue in passing and later needs to upgrade their phone, they won't even think about the Galaxy Nexus because of the "issue" they heard about earlier.

:) I know you didn't. And I guess I can understand that. I'm just excited for everyone who wants one to get one so we can read some happy, positive posts.
