Let's do it: Post pictures taken with your Droid X!

A few stills of my backyard, with 1 panoramic.

Note: these pictures are completely unmodified and shot at the highest possible megapixels. Opening them may and probably will be slow. Recommend viewing them on a really large screen from a desktop. Not for the faint of heart lol

is there a panoramic function? or are you guys using 3rd party software?

yeah open up your camera. hit the menu hard button > picture mode > Panoramic assist > then choose which direction you want to move.

You then start by taking the first picture you want then slowly move the camera in the way you selected and it will automatically take your pics.

here's mine, just taken today. we had two F-4's from tyndall afb stop in for a fuel top off. they each took 1800 gallons.

Nice pics!

Nice pics!

Thanks!

Hey mathewdlyons, if I may ask, how in the world did you get the 2nd picture, the one of the television remote, to focus SO clearly? I mean wow. For such a close up shot I've never been able to get such excellent focus. Was that really from a Droid X? lol

Teach me oh wise master hahaha

Edit: Nevermind! Turns out the silicon case cover was messing with my double action camera button and I was taking shots without fully focusing -_________-

Here's a quick shot I just took of my Logitech Z-5500 remote on my desk. All the lighting is coming from my 24" Acer 1920x1200 LCD lol. (yes I know my remote is very dusty :P):

@ DaRkL3AD3R - I'm glad you worked it out. I'm having the same issue with the silicon case and the camera button. It's a little unnerving.

It got so frustrating that I tried taking a box cutter to the silicon case (with the case off the phone, of course!) and slicing around the area where the camera button is. While I managed a good clean cut out of the thinner portion around the camera button, it didn't cross my mind how thick the silicon really is and now its like impossible to actually take pics with it on lmao

But its fine in my opinion because it basically forces me to take the case off when I take pictures, and this will guaranteed lead to better quality photos :)

That sky looks beautiful!

Sadly the building does not :( extremely noisy. This camera does not handle lower light/high contrast shots too well.

HDR shots are tricky enough with a DSLR, I'll be interested to see if it's issues with the native camera/sensor or the HDR app. I suspect that the HDR app is pushing the limits on contrast and saturation to give that layered feel you get with HDR shot (three -- or more -- different exposures). It appears that the app boosted the color way too much and tried to offset by darkening the white facade of the building.

So cal finest medical silk,og kush origin taken with macro setting!

Dude really? Last time I looked this was AndroidCentral.com and not Drugforums.net. There are most likely children on this site that don't need to see stuff like that. I mean honestly, did that post make you feel cool or something? To me, it just made you look like a complete poser trying to look cool for smoking bud......... I don't get it
