I've been reading a few posts from about 3 other people that are having the same battery issues as I am.

Issues:
Less than 3 hour SoT
Less than 14 hours On time

Verizon LG G4* Duh :)

I noticed that when I am at home and commuting to work, screen off running spotify, I lose almost no battery on my 35 minute commute. When I get into the building I work at the battery starts dropping 1% every 2 minutes or so with basically no usage.

Today, I threw the phone into safe mode... 3 hours on and I've only lost 3% battery. So SOMETHING in the apps appears to be doing heavy damage. I did notice yesterday that the running processes included around 25-30 different processes running "0%" of battery usage today in safe mode there's about 6 apps or processes taking battery and it's not much.

So how do I/WE solve this? And can anyone else with the battery life issue please try safe mode for a day and reply?:)

I can't figure it out either... Same thing happens... At home and out and about... Ridiculous battery life... At work (hospital) I have to keep it constantly charging. I will follow this thread in hopes of a solution, though I just purchased a Quickcharge 2.0 charger just to keep at work.

My Verizon G4 network settings were on "global", by default. Changing your phone to CDMA/LTE may improve your battery life.

I don't know about everybody else but next to screen, the biggest culprit by far is Google Services.

I forgot all about this! I did it when I first got my Droid turbo and forgot to do it for the G4. Until now... Thanks!

How do you get to safe mode? I need to test this myself.

On a good day, I can get three and a half hours of screen time, but usually with less than ten hours total on time (I've had as low as seven hours total on). This is worse than my G3 and the G4 is supposed to have a more power efficient screen so this is kind of BS.

Hold down the button to power off. Then when the menu comes up hold down "power off" Then confirm safe mode. It will restart

I'm also wondering if there's some bloat wear being a big because it seems most of the battery issue phones are Verizon.

This for me too. All other items are less than 10% of usage but Google Services is 26%. All my Google applications are set to manual sync/no automatic updates yet somehow it's still hogging the battery

I am on Att and get excellent battery usage (about 20 hours). I keep it on wifi when I am at home and shut the wifi off outside. I would say I have medium to heavy use.....lots of emails and any access points to the internet.. I also have approximately 2-3 downloads of documents/day. All in all I am extremely happy with the battery life, I couldnt Keep my HTC one M7 alive for 8 hours without recharging

My Google services is only at 5%. What is that Google now? Maybe its that? I don't use Google now often so I didn't active it. My battery hog has been Facebook lately. Even though my battery has been running better have gotten lots of usage out of my battery this past week.

Has anyone looked at their signal when getting intermittent poor battery life? If you have a poor 4G signal and it is switching back and forth the battery will go down faster than Oprah eating a sandwich.

Did you change your usage or is initial battery life just bad?

This was my other thought. My 4g at work tends to sit at 1 bar and occasionally go to 3g. Though when compared to the iPhone 6 plus I have the signal on this lg g4 is not so good. Is it maybe just the CDMA radio of choice from lg or can other things affect that?

Good question and not really sure but I do know that 1 bar 4G to 3G circumstance is taking it's toll on your battery.
My wife's workplace has horrible Verizon service and it bounces constantly from 4G to 3G (similar to what you are talking about). I occasionally will bring lunch to my wife and eat with her and my battery will drop 20%-30% in less than hour. The moment I leave I am back to very good battery life. It's the only time I get poor battery life.

It could also be your Gmail and other things related to Google services. Such as if you have syncs on for your Google account.

Well when I'm home I'm obviously on the phone more than when I'm at work. My usage varies. But I'm thinking this phone is running better than the original one I had.
