Let's see those 5G Speed Tests!

Here is what I have been getting with the S20 Ultra. No 5G near me only 4G the top of the picture is my WiFi, the next is what I just got with my S9 when I put the sim back into it to try. All the rest are the speeds I have been getting all day with the Ultra. Really disappointed in its 4G capabilities.

The LTE on my Ultra on Verizon is fine so something is not right

Okay, I got my unlocked s20+ today . Was in Orlando early evening and with just LTE (they don't have 5g) got the first results seen here. I thought it's great.
I get home where I have 5g and the results are worse. Love the phone and the weight to size is much better than my Note 10+ I'm trading in.

Where can I even find a 5G signal on AT&T?
Hey just got NEW Note 10+ 5G phone drive from Central NJ, down thru Philly, Baltimore and in and around DC, and back thru and around Baltimore and NEVER found 5G signal run a speed test. I called AT&T went into 2 DC AT&T stores who advertised 5G is here! But was told nope note really here??! Would LOVE to find a 5G signal SOMEWHERE to run a TRUE 5G speedtest. The treasure hunt for 5G continues tomorrow in Philly?? If anyone can confirm WHERE I can find 5G on AT&T in these areas I would live to know??

I believe Pittsburgh would be the closest place to you with consumer 5G.

I'm in South St. Paul, MN, and I'm only getting 30 to 40. I get more like 150 in downtown. I'm in an outer suburb at the moment and I attached the speed test. Nowhere near the 1 Gbps we expected, but I guess it's better than LTE.

I'm also on Tmo.

Hey, so I have an unlocked GS20+ on prepaid Tmobile and had the SIM in a Pixel 3 before.
Now with the GS20+ I am picking up 5G Low Band (600 mhz) Band 71 as soon as I leave my driveway.
The phone also displays 5G in the top right when I am on the 2100 mhz Band 4...which is really just LTE+

Mine sucks too, major down grade from my 4G.

That's some shameful performance there! That 5G is 10x slower than 4G lte LOL.

5G is a major downgrade for me and I'm also experiencing slow delays with web pages popping up and time outs with 4G on the S20 Ultra vs my S10 (I popped the Sim into my S10 to double check). Like scrolling/ loading YouTube comments the S20 will timeout here and there where its smooth sailing on the S10 or switching to wi-fi.

Also I found web pages that just won't load at all on the S20 Ultra that will load on the S10 on the same data plan/sim/location. And although the 4G/lte downstream is faster on the S20 vs the S10, my upload is sadly cut in half. Again, I pulled the Sim out and put it in my S10 to triple check. I really hope some updates can fix this because this is my most lackluster and buggy phone out of the box that I've ever had albeit I've never tested a phone so in depth with my previous phone before.

I tested again at home. Its nearly the same speed at work. I guess Portland Or isn't ready for 5G. Lol.

I'm with Three UK, just got a new sim and still the same. The guy in the shop was saying its because they are working on 5G and 4G is being affected, I told him it couldn't be that as my S9 is still able to get 40+mbps. He went through all the settings and couldn't fix it. Now he is saying the phone must be faulty. Will now have to bring both my S9 and ultra to the Samsung shop and see if there is anything they can do. If not its going back.
