Wow, that light olive colour is cool. The egg has a different shape too. Are the light brown eggs from different types of chickens than the dark brown eggs?
I have 3 different breeds of chickens. We have rhode island reds that lay the light olive colored eggs. Then the barred rock chicken lay the bigger brown eggs and we have silver laced wyandottes that lay the smaller light colored brown eggs.

My grandparents had a farm in South Louisiana many many years ago. I can remember all the different chickens and eggs. I always thought they lay according to their color. And now you're telling me there's different breeds? Live and learn

Could you share some photos of chickens from each of these three breeds? As a city dweller I only know brown eggs and white eggs but nothing about chicken breeds. I do love eggs, though.
