So , my Pixel 6 Pro earned its first paycheck for selling a picture this week.

Sunset shot above used by the BBC in the aftermath of Storm Arwen.

Hopefully 1st of many. .

My S21U had 3 pictures used by the press Jan - Oct. Looking good for the Google.

Snerd really wanted cuddles this morning. If I look grumpy it was 2.55am and Snerd always lies right on my neck so it is an awkward position. But he is so soft and warm and sweet. I do love his cuddles really.

So I'm just seeing that the photos gallery does not properly show what the RAW images look like. Here's a quick comparison. I opened the same RAW image in Lightroom and the stock photos app and to my surprise, the RAW images do I actually look the way they're supposed to. I would have never known this had I not downloaded the Lightroom app. The RAW looks that much better without the booster colors and processing and I feel more confident editing these now. The camera continues to impress me.

RAW is why everyone with a DSLR, me included, shoot RAW photo's. What you are seeing is 100% on the information the sensor captured. JPG or JPEG is a software rendition of the actual RAW file. Raw files will be 100% of what that 50mm camera really "see's". Editing the RAW file then exporting to PNG or JPG file, will blow away any JPEG/JPG file you edit. For in camera editing, download Google's own "Snapseed" photo editing software. It's really easy to manipulate RAW files with it and it has a ton of special effect stuff in it. Why Google is not including it on their phone is beyond me. It's a really good app.
