Let's talk about the Nexus 6.

I'm getting my Nexus 6 tomorrow and can't wait. When I clicked the "buy now" button a couple of days ago, a wave of endorphins rushed through my body like taking a hit of crack. Exhilerating. Can't wait to start playing around with it. Will report back asap.

I was going to hold on to my moto x 2013 until the end of the year
Me too, ( I also have the moto x 13, and will sell it) but I just couldn't resist. I got a line of credit (interest free for 6 months) from PayPal and went for it. But unlike you, there's no chance of me going back. I know I'm going to like it after watching every youtube review, and much reading.

Yes, it's a tricky mode for me, everything needs to be so freeze, you know, I'm just getting used to this new phone, remember I'm coming from a Galaxy S4, which camera is really good.

I upgraded from an S3 to the Nexus 6 and am thoroughly impressed. The battery life is unbelievable in comparison. With my S3, it seemed like I was always just making a dash to next place I could plug in my charger. A full charge on the Nexus 6 can last me several days.

I only have 2 minor complaints. The first is that the headphone jack seems a bit underpowered and doesn't produce anywhere near the volume level my S3 had with the same earbuds and software (PowerAmp). On the plus side of that though, the sound is much cleaner than on the S3. The other issue I have is the rounded back. It really makes using the phone while it is on a hard flat surface an exercise. It rocks side to side and can spin the phone around if you are tapping on the screen. Even a case (Supcase Unicorn Beetle) doesn't help much.

Loving the Nexus 6. I tend to work my way through all the flagships and finally settle with the Nexus line. It happened with the Nexus 4 and 5. Maybe I should save myself some money and just presume the next Nexus is going to be the best for me!

Do you guys think the next Nexus will be named the Nexus 7, not to be confused with the Nexus 7 tablets. Also I really hope they (LG) keep the phone size at at least 5.5" if not bigger. I honestly don't have any issues with a 6" phone - I was playing with a work colleagues S6 edge - although it's a looker, it's too small. I don't ever see myself going smaller ;)

What camera app does everyone use? for the first time yesterday I struggled with the camera. I was at my nieces 4th birthday party, indoors, in a poorly lit room and every shot I took ended up blurry or dark and dull.

Do you have any pictures of your phone in red and white? I have a black dbrand skin on mine and love it.
Here's a couple:

Looks really nice - white is going to be my next purchase, but wasn't sure how the red would look - going by the pictures it looks really good.

I'm actually contemplating going back to the Nexus 6. I went from the Nexus 5 to the 6 and couldn't get used to the size, plus I had some annoying issues on early builds of Lollipop. I then got a G3 to hold me over for a bit until the S6 came out. I'm now using that, and while it is a beautiful phone, I'm definitely missing the battery life of the N6 and stock Android just always lures me in. I think I probably just need to stick to Nexus devices. I absolutely LOVED the N5, but battery life left a lot to be desired. The N6 is quite large, and will take some serious getting used to again, but I'm really starting to think this is the phone for me.

Just got mine and absolutely love it. I unlocked it, custom recovery, and decrypted it. But using stock 5.1 for now. I'll probably try a couple roms soon. It's so buttery smooth and fast, it boggles my mind. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

With my former S4 always wanted to root it, flash it, try custom roms, etc. Now with the N6, I don't want to do none of those things. I love stock pure Android.

I pretty much agree. Best phone I've ever owned, which is not hard to believe considering my 2 previous phones were the Moto X 13 and Nexus 5. Sure, it's not perfect, (and nothing is, yet) but it's pretty damn close.

My only "cons" are that it's hard to hold in hand because of the size. But I can deal with it because of the pure goodness it delivers. There's no need anymore for a tablet to play pinball, and the screen in unbelievable. Contrast ratios are insane, and color saturation is awesome. Anyone who says the S6 is better either likes TW better and the extra bells and whistles, or doesn't care about a pure Android experience.

Every time I pick up my phone, I feel privileged and I don't take it for granted. It is without a doubt one of the best devices on the planet. Big yeah, but butter smooth and awesome.

Still enjoying my phone. Battery life has improved since 5.1. The screen size is perfect. This phone has spoiled me. I simply can not go to a smaller device. Actually I can even go for a tad bigger lol. All in all, its the best device I've ever had. Stock android and a big screen.....can't beat that.

I love my N6. Absolutely agree with the article re: battery life. The combination of quick charging and Qi wireless charging has allowed me to charge this phone without it ever dying. I would've appreciated a more robust battery saving mode, but one can only hope for so much.

This is a tough phone to handle in quick situations. Such as capturing a photo really quick at a stoplight. That you can't knock to turn it on and that there aren't dedicated camera buttons or gestures without turning on the screen is problematic. Because, for those with smaller hands, reaching for the power button and unlocking in time can be a bit of a hassle.

However, let's be real: these situations are so few and far between that they don't warrant the size criticism. As a media player, as a text viewer, as a web browser, and as a daily driver this thing is impeccable and doesn't lag. Coming from a Galaxy S3, it has been incredible watching this thing tackle 25 open applications and still function like a pro. There's no telling how lucky I am to have the N6 and it is without a doubt the best phone I've ever owned.
