Quite a scam these guys perpetuated here. Knowing that xMas (and the first batch of Nexus phones) would bring a huge wave of orders they were selling phones for a full 24 hours after they went out of stock. I ordered 30 minutes after they went on sale (12:00 am Thursday) and just this morning was informed it was on back-order until the 19th - I'd be willing to be that anyone ordering after noon Thursday will be waiting until the 30th, at least.

While they claim they had no control over the situation, they knew what they were doing by continuing to claim the phone was in stock long after they ran out. What pisses me off more than anything is the fact I also ordered my daughter's birthday gift ( a new Stratosphere) at the same time and that has not shipped either even though it is in stock. I have asked them to fulfill that order immediately, and they should - if they opt to wait to ship her phone until they ship mine just to save a few bucks on shipping, I'll never buy from them again.

Also, the morning of the 'sale' they had the phone listed as 299 before the 75 dollar coupon. Today it says 249 - so, in reality, that coupon only saved us 25 bucks. I bet they make Big Red proud, the shady bastards.

While I did cancel my order, the phone was $249.99 for me, and I got it for $174.99 plus tax. There was nothing shady going on with the $75 off deal.

Ok so, my package says out for delivery on the UPS site. The truck had already came to my apartment complex. Saw him pull into the office parking area. I went into my apt to wait for him, hour later he's still not here. Go outside and now hes gone, wtf? Maybe on another truck or did I just get skipped lol.

My date got moved from 12/19 to 12/30 this afternoon. I'm hoping that they are just trying to lower expectations (if that's possible) and that maybe it will ship early next week. With receiving a 25 accessory credit and the low price I paid for the phone, I'm going to ride this out and see what happens.

I cancelled my order and bought one at VZW for $300 + tax. I called them back to cancel and they said they just found out they are getting a new batch on Tuesday and claim they ship on Wed.

I have the phone now, I'm happy! This weekend I can set it up, bootloader, ...etc.

I got an email late this afternoon fro.. It was an apology for the trouble with the ordering process and included a code for a 25 credit towards the purchase of an accessory. Who knows maybe this means I won't be seeing it for a few weeks.

that is that standard message they tell customers to try and have them not cancel. at least that's what i was told by the customer service rep who i was expressing my frustration to when i ended up cancelling my order. they really don't know when they'll be getting new stock, they're just told to tell people that it's coming in a few days because more than likely people will wait and they might get stock sometime soon.

Well, great. Some moron misplaced my package at UPS and it got sent on the wrong route. Now I have to wait until Monday before they can deliver it....

I paid $155 ordering early when it showed in stock, but status updated to backordered by the time it went through carrier approval. So are you saying it should have been $95?

Did any of you guys have to go through some kind of verification process?

They called me today and asked for my ssn/date of birth/addresses I used to live in. It sounded fishy at first but I remembered some of you guys getting your phones from this company so I answered the questions. I failed the test though because for the question asking me what addresses I used to live in, they gave me addresses that didn't sound familiar at all

When buying a phone from some place other than verizon, do you have to do this? Because now I am planning on buiying it from amazon for 250$, unless anyone else can tell me of a cheaper place to get this with a family plan. Was really hoping I could get it for 175$

Status now updated from today's date to 12/21/11. Called and lady said the shipment was delayed and the truck is not going to get there until Wednesday now.

Ditto. Like I said, they were selling phones they didn't have using the 75 discount to grab up as much business as they could - considering many of us are ordering for the holiday, this was shady tactics being used to secure as many orders as they could with no regard for time sensitivity. I ordered just an hour after they went on sale and yet the shipping date changed 4 times since.

What really irks me is that I had ordered a Stratosphere for my daughter as well and as of this morning, they hadn't shipped that either! So, I cancelled my order and was planning to just order from Verizon so I could make it in time for xmas, but now it appears that Letstalk actually charged my account in full the day I made the order - that ties up the funds until after Christmas. These guys will never get my business back.

I ordered mine on 12/15 at 12:45PST. It took nearly 24 hours for account verification then became backordered for 12/19, 12/30 and finally changed to shipping on 12/21. The phone at last, delivered to my apartment today.

I can't wait to get home and play with it!
