I ordered mine at 12:15am PST and I also have been put on back order. I'm also still stuck on Carrier approval. I'm going to wait it out though. I don't need this phone right now.
 
I got an email showing me it was back ordered, and it showed it on my lets talk account, just checked again an hour later and it no longer shows mine as back ordered, shows my status as "picking"

Anyone else status change?
 
Amazon took it off their website because their backorders surpassed 3 weeks, no known date of arrival

It's still on there. Either buy from letstalk and be backordered or buy from amazon and be backordered. I choose Amazon.
 
Save yourself the trouble and buy from Amazon for $150 with any plan.

Surprised to see how impatient everyone is. I'm willing to wait the extra week to save another $125. It's funny to see people complain about their half year old smartphone. C'mon people, I'm a college student with a LG dare ( A freaking dumbphone!!!!) for 2 and a half years. Another week isn't going to kill you.
 
Yeah, I've waited 3 months for this with multiple delays, I can wait another week or two if it means I can save $180.

Me too! I ordered mine this morning and this is a savings that I just cannot pass up. I went into the Verizon store this morning trying to get some kind of discount and they wouldn't budge so I left and found this deal and ordered it immediately! To the people having trouble with the customer service... I just called and asked about my order and I got right through to someone that was very helpful. I don't mind waiting 1-2 weeks for my phone to ship... it's worth the savings.

All these people worried about the cancellation fees and changes to their plan.... I have 4 people on my line that are all locked into contracts until 2013 so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon :)

Maybe someone can give me some advice. I spoke with a CSR earlier today about getting the $100 promo discount. He said I was eligible and added a note to my account. Like a fool, I didn't order right then, because I wanted to see the phone in person. Well, the Verizon store would not honor the promotion, saying that it only applied in the midwest. When I called 1Bill back, the woman I got told me the promotion was not applicable to me as well. Has anyone successfully argued this or gotten some sort of discount?
 
Congrats to all that are getting their phones soon! I did decide to cancel and went with Amazon Wireless instead. It was only a few bucks more, but I'll probably have to wait even longer.

Oh well! That's what I get for getting too anxious and cancelling because of the status changing to backorder.
 
For those of you whose orders have advanced positively from carrier approval - what time did you order your phone and are you new to VZW or not? I'm curious to see what is getting through. Thanks

I ordered my phone right when it went on sale at around 12:15am pst. It finally went past carrier approval at around 6:20am. Just received my email that it has been shipped and I got my UPS tracking number.

Also I'm not new to verizon, was upgrading the primary line of my Family Plan.

For what it's worth I ordered mine at 10:47am MST and mine is still in carrier approval!
