LG black screen of death

I have a 3 year old LG Stylo 4 and a Stylo 6, less than one year old. How is it that both, I used them both daily die from the black screen of death spontaneously in the same day. I've tried reviving them using all the internet tricks to no avail. Is there anything I can do with these or are the now just junk?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you use the same apps on both? Maybe one of them caused both to crash. Or were you charging them both at the same time without a surge protector? If so, maybe it was a power surge that fried the phones.

On both phones, try this:

1. Charge the phones (making sure you have surge protection) for at least 6 hours, undisturbed.
2. Press and hold Power for about 30 seconds.
3. If nothing happens, wait a few seconds, then press and hold Power for another 30 seconds.

If still nothing happens, then it's a hardware failure.
